Textures

Close up of a brick wall

Smart Texture, Smarter Design

The IQ Brick Veneer System offers a wide range of surface textures, giving architects, builders, and distributors the freedom to achieve any aesthetic—from refined modern lines to richly tactile traditional finishes. Each texture is engineered for visual distinction and long-term performance, allowing precise control over depth, light, and shadow.

Wirecut Brick

Wirecut features a linear surface texture produced by cutting extruded clay with wires. It offers consistent striations and clean edges suitable for modern or modular applications.

Smooth Brick

Smooth provides a uniform, finely finished surface with minimal irregularity. It emphasizes color consistency and sharp arrises for formal or contemporary design work.

Ripple Brick

Ripple displays subtle undulations and irregular pitting formed during extrusion. The result is a naturally weathered appearance that enhances light variation while maintaining overall coursing continuity.

Lombris Brick

Lombris presents a dense, fine-pitted background interrupted by irregular, elongated gouge marks—“worm-track” sweeps—yielding a darker, low-relief surface with softened arrises.

Blade Cut Brick

Blade Cut exhibits fine, linear scoring made by mechanical blades. It delivers sharper and more defined texture lines than traditional wirecut finishes.

Rollback Brick

Rollback shows a distinctive curved or recessed face created by rolling or deforming the clay edge before firing. It produces deep shadows and a softened façade texture.

V-Scratch Brick

V-Scratch presents angular V-grooved scoring applied to the brick face. It generates directional texture that enhances visual rhythm across large wall planes.
